Roosters are a favorite subject with Threads of Blessing artists. Artist Norah Amia offers this handsome, hand-stitched rooster, which measures 4.5 x 5 inches. The work would be lovely framed for display in a kitchen or added to a journal cover or clothing.
Norah lives in the village of Jangukuru in Nebbi Diocese, Uganda. She will use the funds she receives for her needlework to provide education for her children, medical support, seeds or fertilizer for her crops, repairs for her home or the construction of a new one, and care for any orphans she cares for due to HIV, AIDS, or other illnesses.
Through Threads of Blessing and the community they have formed, Norah and her fellow needleworkers have formed a micro-enterprise bank account where she and other members can borrow funds to begin small businesses.
“Dear, I thank you for the wonderful love you have given me through Threads of Blessing. It has helped me do many important things in my life and my family. Thanks.” - Norah Amia
