Sarah Kuku created the lively display of fruit on a red and white cloth that decorates this tote bag. The 16" x 15" tote is made of medium blue denim with a whimsical print of chickens on the inside. It has a large outer pocket with Velcro (R) closure, an inside zippered pocket, and sturdy handles.
Sarah lives in southern Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – a particularly beautiful area known as the “Switzerland” of Uganda. Her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops. Sarah meets weekly with her fellow needleworkers.
Sarah will use the funds she receives from her needlework to provide education for her children; medical support for herself and her family; seeds or fertilizer for her crops; and maintenance and repairs to her home.
