I am Lucy Aduny Nyamutoro from Nebbi Diocese. I am a widow with three children when I joined the group. I was nobody, but this group gave me hope as I am testifying. I was able to take care of my children and buy goats through this embroidery. I give glory to God for Threads of Blessing. Thank you.
Lucy meets regularly with her fellow needleworkers, who support and learn from one another. She belongs to the Threads of Blessing stitching group Secretariat, which is one of 29 groups located across several Ugandan dioceses.. The groups include over 900 women artists who are part of the Threads of Blessing family.
The money the women earn from their stitching is life-changing. It enables them to support their families, pay for education and medical needs, and buy seeds and fertilizer for their crops.
