“I thank the Threads of Blessing team. This is my second year in Threads of Blessing. I joined in 2024 and made one piece, which sold. I used the money I earned for farming and harvesting sorghum, which I will sell later to pay for my children’s education.”
Christine lives in the Diocese of North Karamoja. She meets regularly with her fellow needleworkers, who support and learn from one another. She belongs to the Threads of Blessing stitching group Kotido, which is one of 29 groups located across several Ugandan dioceses. The groups include over 900 women artists who are part of the Threads of Blessing family.
Each woman designs and hand-stitches her piece, creating a one-of-a-kind work of art that reflects her culture, daily life, and the landscape in which she lives.
