Betty lives in the Diocese of Nebbi. She belongs to the group Goli B, one of 28 stitching groups located across several Ugandan dioceses. The groups include over 900 women artists who are part of the Threads of Blessing family. Each woman designs and hand-stitches her pieces, creating a one-of-a-kind work of art that reflects her culture, daily life, and the landscape in which she lives.
The money the women earn from their stitching is life-changing. It enables them to help support their families, pay for education and medical needs, and buy seeds and fertilizer for their crops.
