“Praise the Lord. The money I received from Threads of Blessing was used to build my house. I pray that God will add more and more for all of you. Thank you.”
Susu lives in the Diocese of Nebbi. She meets regularly with her fellow needleworkers and belongs to one of 29 groups located across several Ugandan dioceses. The groups include over 900 women artists who make up the Threads of Blessing family.
The money the women earn from their stitching is life-changing. It helps them support their families and pay for education and medical needs.
Each woman designs and hand-stitches her piece, creating a one-of-a-kind work of art that reflects her culture, daily life, and the landscape in which she lives.
