This wonderful hand-stitched tapestry, created by Eva Katurama, Threads of Blessing artist, provides a view of a Ugandan forest. Snow leopards lounge in the tops of Acacia trees, while giraffes and zebras forage on the forest floor. This large work stitched in a cool color palette measures 33 x 27 inches.
Eva lives in Hoima in western Uganda and attends church at St. Peter’s Cathedral. She offers this insight into her life and participation in the Threads of Blessing ministry.
“The Lord is good. I am a member of Threads of Blessing. I have received money in small amounts for my pieces but I have been able to start a business to sell pan cakes and buy more threads. I believe that God will use me to make bigger and better pieces.
I also used the money to pay hospital bills for my husband who is diabetic, and look after the entire family. I have also started a pig project and now have 3 piglets. May God bless you for loving and supporting us always.”
