Esther Byaruhanga, offers this insight on how embroidery, and her participation as a Threads of Blessing artist has impacted her life.
"Being part of this embroidery group through Threads of Blessing is a pleasure. The funds I receive greatly help me, my family, and other people around me.
I am so glad that God blessed me with the gift of embroidering. Through the last sale of my embroidery pieces in July 2024, I paid school fees for my children in secondary school and started an animal and poultry feeds business, which will generate more funds.
I have two orphans I care for in my home. The funds have helped me to pay school fees for them. I also care for an HIV-positive mother. She has four children and is a widow. I can buy her drugs, food, and school requirements for her children. I ask your prayers and support.”
As a school teacher, Esther also creates new groups in her surrounding villages, thus passing on her gift.
