"Two giraffes adorns the front of this small sketch pad. The lining is a batik fabric in earth tones of brown, green and ochre."
Sarah's home is in the south of Uganda, a beautiful mountainous region that has often been called "the Switzerland of Uganda." Their farming is accomplished by terracing the mountainsides.
Sarah meets weekly with her Threads of Blessing group of needleworkers. The community they have developed encourages each of them and has significantly raised their self-confidence. Sarah will use the funds she receives for her needlework to provide education for her children; medical support for her family; seeds or fertilizer for her crops; repairs for her home; and provide for any orphans in her care as the result of war, HIV AIDS, or other illnesses.
