“I thank God for Threads of Blessing. It has helped me so much to get money to help me. I am 87 years old. God help me. Amen.”

Peredasi is a group member of Ruwenzori, and is so happy to be working with the group. She is proud that she can produce the needlework that sells. There are 29 Threads of Blessing stitching groups across several Ugandan dioceses. The groups comprise over 900 women artists who are part of the Threads of Blessing family.

The money the women earn from their stitching is life-changing. It enables them to help support their families, pay for education and medical needs, and buy seeds and fertilizer for their crops. Each woman designs and hand-stitches her piece, creating a one-of-a-kind work of art that reflects her culture, daily life, and the landscape in which she lives.
