Margaret Mary Komuhendo created the wonderful scene she titled "Three Elephants on a Journey" that decorates this zippered pouch. The 9.5" x 8" stand-up pouch is made of medium blue denim with blue print lining and has an inside patch pocket and detachable wrist strap. It can be used as a purse or as a handy pouch for organizing travel items, toiletries, charging cords, or other things.
Margaret Mary lives in southern Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – a particularly beautiful area known as the “Switzerland” of Uganda. Her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops.
Margaret Mary will use the funds she receives from her needlework to provide education for her children; medical support for herself and her family; seeds or fertilizer for her crops; and maintenance and repairs to her home; and to provide for any orphans for whom she cares as a result of the war, HIV/AIDS or other illnesses.
Margaret Mary meets weekly with her fellow needle workers. The community they have developed through Threads of Blessing encourages each of them and has significantly raised their self-confidence.
