The front of this 9" x 7" clutch purse displays embroidery, by Enid Kahigwa, of a hummingbird drinking nectar from a flower blossom. The framing around the needlework and the back of the purse are brown microsuede, the lining is red/gold paisley print. The purse has a detachable wrist strap and there is an inside zippered pocket.
Enid lives in southern Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – a particularly beautiful area known as the “Switzerland” of Uganda. Her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops.
Enid will use funds from her needlework to educate her children; provide medical support for herself and her family; and maintain her crops and home.
