Great Karungi created the fanciful peacock on this handy 12" x 11" x 3" stand-up pouch. The outer fabric is navy duck canvas, and the lining is blue/green cotton batik. The pouch has an exterior zip pocket.
Great lives in southern Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – a particularly beautiful area of Uganda. Great's life revolves around caring for her family and her crops, and she meets weekly with her fellow needle workers. She will use the funds she receives from her needlework to provide education for her children; medical support for herself and her family; supplies for her crops; and maintenance to her home.
