A spray of hand-embroidered, stemmed pink flowers adorn this large sketch pad. It is lined with geometric design blue/black/white batik fabric from the Republic of Congo.
Night lives in a village close to the River Nile in Northwest Uganda. Living in a mud hut with a thatched roof, her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops. She will use the funds she receives for her needlework to provide education for her children; medical support; seeds or fertilizer for her crops; repairs to her home, or build a new one; and provide for any orphans in her care.
Night meet weeks with her Threads of Blessing group. The community they have developed through Threads of Blessing encourages each of them and has significantly raised their self-confidence.
