Nsita Ahumuza created the terrific giraffe munching on leaves that decorates this laptop carrier. This 12" x 16" zippered carrier, which will hold a MacBook Pro or similar laptop, is made of quilted cotton to cushion the computer and is lined with a bold African print. It has an external zippered pocket and sturdy handles.
Nsita lives in southern Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – a particularly beautiful area known as the “Switzerland” of Uganda. Her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops.
Nsita will use the funds she receives from her needlework to provide education for her children; medical support for herself and her family; seeds or fertilizer for her crops; maintenance and repairs to her home; and provide for any orphans for whom she cares as a result of the war, HIV/AIDS or other illnesses.
Nsita meets weekly with her fellow needle workers. The community they have developed through Threads of Blessing encourages each of them and has significantly raised their self-confidence.
