Juliet Nabuuma stitched the giraffe among the trees that adorns this 15" x 12" zippered laptop carrier. The carrier is made of black quilted cotton, to cushion the computer, and is lined with handsome orange/green print. It is designed to hold a 12.5" x 9" x .75" MacBook Pro (or similar model). It has two zippered pockets--one inside and one outside--and sturdy handles.
Juliet is the daughter of Barbara Nabbanja, one of the leaders of Threads of Blessing. Barbara has taught Juliet how to do the needlework and already she is producing great pieces (she created this tapestry at age 17). Juliet attends boarding school just north of Kampala. She is a distance from her home in Mukono but is studying hard so that she can be a leader in her community.
Juliet appreciates the support she is getting from Threads of Blessing and uses the funds from the sale of her needlework to purchase some basic needs such as school supplies. She is happy that learning the needlework is helping her to develop skills in arts and crafts. She prays that it may stay with her forever! Amen!
