Abby Thociba embroidered a cat with her kittens displayed on this 8" x 10" journal cover. The journal is made of dark denim with an African batik fabric lining. The notebook itself is a standard composition book that is easily replaced.
Sadly, Abby died last year. Her family lives In the district of Nebbi in northwest Uganda. Nebbi borders Lake Albert to the south, the River Nile to the east, and the Congo to the west. Her life revolved around caring for her family and her crops.
Abby's family will use the funds they receive from the sale of her needlework to provide education for their children and adopted orphans, medical support, seeds or fertilizer for their crops, and maintenance and repairs to their home.
