Peace Sunday embroidered this charming flower design. It is displayed on an 8" x 10" journal (or notebook) cover. The journal is made of dark denim with a print lining. The notebook itself is a standard composition book that is easily replaced.
Peace lives in western Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – an area known as the “Switzerland” of Uganda because of its high mountains and deep valleys. Her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops.
Peace will use the funds she receives from her needlework to provide education for her children and adopted orphans, medical support for herself and her family, seeds or fertilizer for her crops, and maintenance and repairs to her home. She meets weekly with her fellow needleworkers. The community they have developed through Threads of Blessing encourages them and has significantly raised their self-confidence.
