This 14” x 8.5” embroidery by Sunday Dhugira depicts a scene in which a man is tending goats and a woman carrying firewood while a monkey watches from a tree. This size tapestry would be perfect for framing or for making a pillow.
Sunday, who has great management skills, lives in Goli and is the manager of the Women’s Training Center where the annual workshop is held. She is a member of the group in Erussi, the small village where she grew up.
In Sunday's words, “I am a young Ugandan mother of 2 boys and a girl. God has blessed me with 2 orphans whom I am supporting. I coordinate the Threads of Blessing activities in Uganda. This has helped me to relate well with the women and encourage them to work hard. As I make my pieces I admire God’s creation and I care so much about the environment. It helps me mix colors well. May the Lord help everybody who supports this ministry in Jesus Name!”
