For many years, Threads of Blessing has encouraged members to teach their children the art of embroidery so that the gift of their hands to tell the stories of their culture can be preserved. Trinity is the daughter of Betty Ocan, a founding member of Threads of Blessing. Betty offers this testimony about her life and participation as a Threads of Blessing artist.
“I give thanks to the Lord for this embroidery group. We have six children in school. It was difficult to maintain the children at home. I was not happy. We have many orphans to care for, but through these funds, we have been able to do this, cultivate seeds in the garden, and plan our home. I also thank Threads of Blessing and the team from West Texas for coming to Nebbi. I want to pray a blessing on them in all they do.”
