"Brown vase of flowers" by Rev. Mildred Achola Owani has been incorporated into a large tan canvas tote bag lined with an abstract cotton print. The tote has a large outer pocket with Velcro closure, two interior zippered pockets, and sturdy handles.
In Rev. Owani's words, “I give thanks to God and Threads of Blessing for all that it has done for me and my family. I am married with 3 children of my own, and my husband also has three children. All six are grown up with the last born in University. I adopted one girl and educated her. She is now a nurse. The money I get from Threads of Blessing I am paying the school fees of 2 girls. Their parents cannot pay their fees. They are in Secondary school. Some of the money I use for seeds. The money and what I get from the farm I pay on the fees. Also, I give food stuff to some old poor women to help them. All that I receive I cannot always remember to give 1/10th to God. Glory be to God, all of you, and Threads of Blessing.”
Mildred lives in Lira, Lango Diocese. This area has struggled for many years due to conflicts in the area.
