This wonderful forest landscape features a giraffe and elephant with their young. Nestled under the shade of a large Acacia tree. Jesca Kahumuza, threads of Blessing artist, uses a cool color palette in the work which measures 14 x 10 inches.
Jesca offers this insight about her life and participation in the Threads of Blessing ministry.
“I am a born-again Christian. I am 60 years old and have been a widow for 20 years. Since my husband died, I have been struggling with life, paying school fees for children, and looking after the home single-handed. Two years ago, when Maama Akiiki Peace Kyamanywa shared with us the wonderful words of Threads of Blessing, I joined the group. I learned to knit (stitch) and I sent my pieces for sale in the USA. I received money from one piece. It paid my children’s school fees and I bought a piglet. I praise the Lord I have come to a new place. May God bless you!"
Jesca lives in a small village in Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese in Western Uganda. Life in the small villages can be very challenging and she and her family will now benefit from her work with Threads of Blessing.
