Rosetti Kiyemba embroidered the spray of flowers and butterflies displayed on this large sketch pad. The sketch pad is made of dark denim with a blue floral lining. It can be used vertically or horizontally as shown.
Rosetti lives in southern Uganda, in the diocese of Ruwenzori close to the Rwandan border – a particularly beautiful area known as the “Switzerland” of Uganda. Her life revolves around caring for her family and her crops.
Rosetti will use the funds she receives from her needlework to provide education for her children and adopted orphans; medical support for herself and her family; seeds or fertilizer for her crops; and maintenance and repairs to her home. She meets weekly with her fellow needleworkers. The community they have developed through Threads of Blessing encourages each of them and has significantly raised their self-confidence.
