Hand Embroidery - "Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground." (Exodus 14:16)

Grace Kisemba created this piece full of color and the history of the Exodus.  It measures 17.5" x 11."  It is in the raw form but can be stretched to the measurements listed. 

“My husband is Rev. Seremoth Kisembo. We are now married for 25 years. We have six children, four girls, and two boys and two grandchildren. My diocese is Masindi Kitara. I fear God because he treated me from cancer of the breast. I love needlework because I can able to make it, for it is not hard. I have problems with my chest after the operation; they cannot allow me to do hard work like digging and other hard work, which an African woman does. Grace lives in Masindi. Masindi is located in western Uganda and is at the crossroad for all directions in Uganda. It is located near Murchison National Park.
