Millie Namboga created the embroidery, “Two Zebras, Beautiful Trees,” on this pillow. Zoom in on the photo and notice the lovely raised stitching (bullion knots) on the trees! The zippered pillow has black twill fabric on the front, and the back is soft faux suede in a gray pattern reminiscent of elephant hide.
Millie lives in Mukono where Uganda Christian University is located. Her group, named Kiwanga, meets every Saturday afternoon. Kiwanga means “Son of God”.
